Duesseldorf, May 21, 2006 As a good start to the ARAG World Team Cup, the eight world's best tennis teams were able to collect their cars at the Duesseldorf Mercedes-Benz dealers. Jürgen Tauscher (Dealer Principal of the Mercedes-Benz Dealership Rhein-Rhur) and Lutz-Martin Meyer (Branch Manager of the Mercedes-Benz Dealership Duesseldorf) handed over the Mercedes-Benz convertibles, which had each been decorated with the national flag of the team concerned. To the joy of all the teams, this year they found brand-new Mercedes-Benz SL, SLK and CLKs waiting for them. After the presentation with the official photo session, the players drove in a convoy through the city centre to the high class disco "Sam's", where the Players Party was being held. Mercedes-Benz has been the ATP's main sponsor since 1996 and is the main sponsor of the ARAG World Team Cup. At this event, the world's eight best tennis teams compete for the World Team Cup. This year's title defenders are the German team under the guidance of team leader Patrick Kühnen. Apart from Germany, the other countries taking part are: USA, Argentina, Chile, Italy, Czech Republic, Croatia and Spain. |
